HiT-Brushes are produced by Wöhler with special filaments which - in connection with a special arrangement - combine the characteristics of grinding stones with those of a brush.

Special brushes for special applications complete the production programme.

HiT-Brushes are suitable for

• Printing rollers

• Anilox rollers (especially ceramic coated)

• Shafts

• Pistons and piston rods

• Wire (for cleaning and finishing)

• Rolls for rolling mills

• and many other applications

The filaments have a high degree of heat resistence and can also be produced with continuously embedded diamond or silicon carbide particles with grit sizes between #80 and # 15000.

The filaments offer the following advantages

• Multiple service life (up to ten times and more, depending on application) compared to diamond belts
• Self cleaning property of the tool (HiT-Brush)
• Finishing of contours possible with relevantly formed tools
• Variations in tool density and grit size possible
• Self sharpening property through continuously embedded diamond or silicon carbide particles in the tool
• Constant operating temperature of up to 200°C possible, i.e. also suitable for dry applications
• Precise pressure control together with the Wöhler Superfinishing Device, i.e. repeatability of results
• Greatly reduced operating costs (only about 4 to 10 %) compared to diamond belts (on a lot of applications)
